I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Iona Winnifrith, who won a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke last night, achieving a personal best time. This is an extraordinary accomplishment, as she finished second to the defending champion and world record holder.

At just 13 years old, Iona is the youngest member of the Paralympic GB squad.

We are incredibly proud of Iona, and it was heartwarming to see her mention in a national interview last night that “my teachers believed in me.”
