Year 11 Geography students recently participated in two educational field trips in preparation for their upcoming GCSE examinations.
Their first adventure took them to Loughton Brook in Epping Forest, where students investigated downstream changes in the river. This trip significantly enhanced their teamwork and physical fieldwork skills, as students enthusiastically tackled varying weather conditions, from sunshine to rain and even hail—all within a single day!
The second field trip brought students to the vibrant East Village at the Olympic Park, where they explored and assessed the sustainability practices implemented in the area. This experience not only built upon their existing case study knowledge but also further developed their human geography fieldwork skills. Students confidently engaged with members of the public, conducting surveys that enriched their investigations.
Throughout both trips, our students exemplified the TELLS and acted as wonderful ambassadors for the school.
Well done to all involved for your commitment and resilience!
