Trinity Sixth Form students celebrate best ever results – again!

Following on from 2025 record-breaking results, Trinity sixth form students have done it again in 2026, achieving the school's best-ever A-level and L3 BTEC/ CTEC results.

Specifically, over one in five A-level grades were at A*/A, and over 54% of grades were at B grade or better. Over 90% of the grades achieved were at C (or equivalent) or better.

Some student highlights include:  

Stephen Bradley who achieved 3 A* grades and an A grade. He is looking forward to studying Computer Science at Cambridge University.

Sam Phillips achieved 3 A* grades and will be starting a Medicine degree at the University of Liverpool.

Lucy Bunting, who achieved 2 A* grades and an A grade. She is going to study Law at Cardiff University.

Phoebe Edwards, who achieved 2 A* grades and a B grade. She is going to the University of York to study English language and Linguistics.

Zac Cashman achieved 3 A grades and is going to the University of London Institute in Paris to study International Politics.

Fergus Mylroi achieved 2 A* grades and 2 A grades and is taking a GAP year.  

William Read achieved 2 A* grades and a B and is looking forward to studying English at University of Exeter.

Edward Williams achieved one A* grade and 3 A grades and will shortly be studying Chemical Engineering at University College London (UCL)

As well as progressing to excellent university destinations, many of our students are going on to pursue careers directly after Sixth Form. For instance, Theo Opitz-Frizzi is undertaking a degree apprenticeship with Commerzbank in London, Megan Johnston is considering an offer to pursue a career in insurance with the Ardonagh Group, whilst Alex Turner has secured an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering with SGE Limited.

Headteacher, Dr Matthew Pawson commented that “We are absolutely delighted with this set of results and the subsequent destinations our students are moving on to. They have done themselves and the School proud. What is important is the progress these students have made since the start of their Sixth Form studies, which has been exceptional. Their success is testament to their hard work and commitment, as well as the commitment and diligence of our staff. I would like to thank all students for their contribution to Trinity School and wish them well in their futures.”
