We had our very first French exchange trip at the end of November. We returned with hearts full of joy at the connections made, the experiences had, and the meeting of two cultures.

There were hugs of welcome on arrival - as French penpals literally ran toward their English penpal – and even some tears on departure. 

The morning spent in school was productive as Trinity pupils were welcomed into science, maths, English lessons – and many more.  An afternoon of getting to know each other activities reinforced language and friendship.

On the return journey we heard of pupils having been invited back, of plans to reunite again in the summer.  We also had several saying it was difficult to speak only in English once again – and several have reported how they are speaking in French more since then.  Our pupils were praised by Host parents as we left for their politeness and manners.

The travel and our driver was a blessing, and the weather and conditions couldn’t have been more perfect.
